After four and a half years of service as the Ambassador of Estonia to the UK, Dr Margus Laidre returns to Tallinn at the end of July, where he will start his new job as the Adviser to the Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves. The new Ambassador to the UK is the Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary for Legal and Consular Affairs Ms Aino Lepik von Wirén.
Consul Mr Leemet Paulson, Press Spokesperson Ms Anneli Kimber and Defence Attaché LtCol Urmas Muld finish their terms at the embassy at the same time as the Ambassador. The new Consul will be Ms Signe Matteus, new Spokesperson Ms Kadri-Mai Kaunissaare and the new Defence Attaché LtCol Vahur Väljamäe. Ambassador Laidre together with the leaving diplomats wishes to sincerely thank all friends, colleagues and the Estonian community in the UK for great cooperation and support through these years.
Suursaadik Margus Laidre lõpetab Ühendkuningriigis töö
Eesti suursaadik Margus Laidre lõpetab 31. juulil 2010 oma töö saatkonnas Londonis. Laidre pöördub tagasi Eestisse, kus asub tööle Vabariigi Presidendi Tooma Hendrik Ilvese nõunikuna. Uus suursaadik Suurbritannia ja Põhja-Iirimaa Ühendkuningriigis on praegune välisministeeriumi asekantsler Aino Lepik von Wirén.
Koos saadikuga lõpeb lähetus ka saatkonna konsulil Leemet Paulsonil, pressiesindaja Anneli Kimberil ning kaitseatašee kolonelleitnant Urmas Muld’il. 1. augustil asuvad saatkonda tööle uus konsul Signe Matteus, pressiesindaja Kadri-Mai Kaunissaare ning kolonelleitnant Vahur Väljamäe.
Suursaadik Laidre ning teised lahkuvad diplomaadid tänavad südamest kõiki sõpru, kolleege, koostööpartnereid ning kohalikke eestlasi toetuse ja toreda koostöö eest.
