Spring issue of LENNUK is out!

10.03.2010

The spring 2010 issue of the British-Estonian Association (BEST) journal LENNUK is out and available through the Estonian Embassy. If you didn’t receive LENNUK by post last autumn and you are not in our lists, please send us an e-mail to london@mfa.ee  to get a copy of the journal and further info on BEST membership.

The spring edition features many interesting stories and interviews including articles by Estonia's distinguished marine archaeologist Vello Mäss, Chairman of BEST, author Neil Taylor and an overview of Estonian education system by the Estonian Education Minister Tõnis Lukas. Ian Thomson describes engagingly the visits of eminent British citizens to Tallinn in the interwar period and Charles de Chassiron writes about the re-emergence of national cultures in the three Baltic states since the restoration of the independence. There are also articles about SmartPOST in Estonia, the new and vibrant Estonian Guild in London, five book reviews and much more.

LENNUK, the journal of the British Estonian Association is published twice per year and distributed free to members and others, who are interested in Estonia in the UK. Now a well-established and highly regarded publication, its scope extends from culture to sport, and politics to business.

The embassy would like to thank the retiring Editor of LENNUK Gwyn Davies for his dedication for four years and inspiring work on LENNUK and welcome the new Editor Tiina Tamman.
