“I belive that many of us have had a question, what life am I living? I did. I had always thought that a little bit more and then I will start living my own life. I will finish one more project and then... But what if that „then“ never arrives? I just rush through my life and then it is over... Something snapped inside me. I decided, I will try at least. I will try to live a „zero life“ somewhere in the woods.“ – this is the confession of the main character of the film as he stands in front of the judge in the court.
It is a heart warming story of a man, who makes a complete U-turn with his life, to undertsand the meaning of existance and finds an answer there right next to him. The film is based on Jaan Tätte’s latest theater play (Tätte’s plays are successfully performed in several theaters in Germany and he is the winner of the Baltic Assembly’s Award).
Director
Elmo Nüganen (1962) is the director of Estonia’s biggest audience success Names in Marble. His second film is an emotional artistic project, which best conveys his style for what he is praised and awarded as a theater director in Estonia, Russia and Poland.
