Best European Fiction 2010 at South Bank Centre
20.01.2010
Join Andrej Blatnik, Jon Fosse and Christine Montalbetti at the South Bank Centre for a discussion and readings from the Best European Fiction 2010. Event date: January 20, 2010
Best European Fiction 2010 is the inaugural installment of what will become an annual anthology of stories from across Europe published by Dalkey Archive. Estonian contribution to the book is "Foreign Woman" by Elo Viiding translated by Eric Dickens.
During the event Andrej Blatnik, Jon Fosse and Christine Montalbetti bring stories from the book to the Southbank Centre, marking the publication of the new anthology. United by their experimentation, wit and iconoclasm, these are stories which reflect a new transnational culture in an old and historically crowded continent. Bringing together newly translated stories from 32 European nations, this is a great opportunity to learn more about the richly diverse literature being written in Europe today.
