Elo was born in Tartu, Estonia, in 1972. She went to Tartu University to study fine art. In 1994 she married the Anglican priest Bernhard Sch�nemann in London and went to study at Middlesex University, from where she graduated with a BA in Fine Art in 2001. She has had ten solo exhibitions, her first solo exhibition was in a church hall in Kirkby, Liverpool, second exhibition was in Tartu, Estonia, third one in London at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Gallery, and the rest in Oxford - in church halls, colleges, cafes and Darby's Solicitors. Elo is also a Sunday school teacher, gives art lessons to friends and takes commissions. She lives in South London with her husband and three children, and in Estonia during the summer.
