Estonian Rugby Union Team in UK playing England Deaf
27.08.2009 - 30.08.2009
Estonian Rugby Union Team is visiting the UK during the August bank holiday weekend playing England Deaf, Tonbridge Juddians and participating in the Spitfire Tournament.

The Folkestone Rugby Club is hosting an international match on Saturday, 29 august at 3.00pm between the Estonian team and the England Deaf. England Deaf Rugby Union (EDRU) was set up in 2003, as it was recognised that there were quite a few Deaf and Hard of Hearing players who would like the opportunity to represent their country. The EDRU is now aiming to win the Deaf Rugby World Championships, which is likely to be hosted by Wales Deaf Rugby Union.
The Estonian team will then take part of the Spitfire Tournament at the Folkestone Rugby Club in Newington, Kent on Sunday, 30 August with first kick off at 10.30am. Among other teams participating in the tournament are Millwall, Oakthorpe RFC, a team of talented youngsters from Oxford, England Deaf, Battersea Ironsides, South East 3/4 and Kent 1.
On Thursday August 27th the Estonian team will play Tonbridge Juddians 1st XV under floodlights with a 7.30pm kick-off at their Club in Tonbridge. The club also hopes to have a students game laid on as a warm up match. Tonbridge Juddians RFC runs FIVE senior sides, with the 1st XV currently competing in London 4 South East (Level 7) but with ambitious plans to gain elevation to London 2S in the next 3 years. All of the Senior teams compete in competitive Merit Tables and the club also enters both Kent County and RFU National cup competitions.
Please come and watch what will be high class rugby. The Estonian team is hoping that fellow Estonians living in the UK will be coming along to the matches to support them.
