Estonian Asko Künnap at the Ledbury Poetry Festival

Festival Open Mic with Asko Künnap hosted by Daljit Nagra and Jo Bell on Saturday 11 July 9.30pm – 11pm, Burgage Hall.

Asko Kynnap

Poet, designer and illustrator Asko Künnap was born in 1971. His poetry collection Ja sisalikud vastasid (kolmes kirjas) (And the Lizards Replied in Three Letters), 2003 won National Literary Award. In this collection he used a new writing style Kosmos created by himself. Asko Künnap is also famous for freshness of thoughts and innovative ideas in the field of advertising.

Daljit Nagra is a poet who writes accomplished and dextrous poems and performs them brilliantly. Jo Bell’s collection is called Navigation and she is a fabulous performer, currently touring with Fourpenny Circus. Bloodaxe Editor Neil Astley will close the event with an after-word on the perils of getting published, or not!

The Ledbury Poetry Festival is the biggest and best poetry festival in the UK.
