Arsis Handbell Ensemble from Estonia consists of eight professional players and one of the most perfect sets in the world, which includes 7+4 octave sets of handbells
and 7 octave set of handchimes.
The ensemble which has been founded in 1993, has toured nearly all over the world — in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, USA, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Canada, Belgium.
One of the most exotic places was the Republic of South Africa where Arsis participated in Eisteddfod festival and was honoured the highest prize Grand Prix. Five CDs have been released.
The ensemble is playing mostly arrangements of classical music but also a lot of original music. In the concerts you will hear well-known pieces by Mozart, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Grieg, Schubert, Debussy and also Estonian folk music.
