Vox Clamantis, leader Jaan-Eik Tulve The Weekend Guitar Trio – Robert Jürjendal, Mart Soo, Tõnis Leemets

Vox Clamantis is an internationally renowned Gregorian chant ensemble, touring regularly in Europe and beyond, sometimes together with Le Chœur Grégorien de Paris.
The Weekend Guitar Trio’s composed and improvised music for three electric guitars and electronics has been equally successful at both jazz and classical contemporary music events. Both groups collaborate with composers of our time (Vox Clamantis is particularly valuing it’s connection with Arvo Pärt) and musicians from other traditions.
In 2007, joint concerts of Vox Clamantis and Tunisian oud player Dhafer Youssef in the UK received top marks (. . . hauntingly beautiful fusion of their disparate traditions. Richard Morrison, The Times). For such adventurous groups, it was only natural to come together, despite of their hugely different aesthetic contexts, and so the Vox Clamantis and the Weekend Guitar Trio have been performing and recording joint programmes for several years now.
