Pianist Sten Lassmann presents his research on Eller and plays Estonian piano music

A Study Day on Baltic Music

A Study Day on Baltic Music dedicated to Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian music is organised by the Royal Musical Association and The School of Music, University of Leeds.
Sten Lassmann is one of best pianists of younger generation in Estonia. For present, he studies at the Royal Music Academy in London. Lassmann has performed both as a soloist and in chamber music concerts in many countries. He has been awarded several prizes, the most notable of which was winning the VI National Piano competition in Tallinn in 2002. He was awarded a first-class diploma in the Usti nad Labem young pianists' competition in 1997, and VI and III EPTA prize for young pianists in Croatia in 1999 and 2001. Lassmann has also participated in international chamber music competitions, and received third prize in Jurmala in 2000 and a finalist's diploma in the Brahms competition in Gdansk in 2003.
